Deqing Sun is a Creative Technologist based in New York. He is the adjunct professor teaching prototyping electronic devices at New York University, and co-founder & tech lead of Think Create, an interactive installation design and engineering studio.
Deqing has worked as a creative technologist at ESI Design, and an engineer at Parallel Development, a leading art fabrication studio in NYC. He has been involved in multiple large-scale art installations including "Shakespeare Machine", an LED chandelier at the Public Theater in NYC, and "The Bay Lights" on San Francisco Bay Bridge. He helped design and build the Buffalo Wild Wings' game theater in Philadelphia and Columbia Center's LED sculpture in Seattle. He has exhibited a number of personal art projects, such as "Pinko Poetry" at SIGGRAPH Art Gallery, “ioNature” at Manhattan West, “The Butterfly Effect” in Shanghai.
Deqing received his Bachelor of Science in electronic engineering at Fudan University and his Master's degree at the Interactive Telecommunication Program (ITP) at New York University.
