Sara is the principal of Rare Union, a product and content strategy consultancy based in Philadelphia, an author, and the co-host of the podcast No, You Go. Her most recent book, Technically Wrong: Sexist Apps, Biased Algorithms, and Other Threats of Toxic Tech (WW Norton), was named one of Wired's top tech books and one of Fast Company's best business and leadership books in 2017.
Sara's other books include Design for Real Life (A Book Apart), co-authored with Eric Meyer, and Content Everywhere (Rosenfeld Media). Her writing has appeared in the Washington Post, the Guardian, Slate, Quartz, and Wired, and she’s given talks at events in a dozen countries (and counting). Her friends seem to think she’s super productive, but she really spends most days wearing gym clothes and slippers.
