Autism, Drawing and Design: Insights into Innovation and Creativity
People who are creative visual thinkers have learned how to get away from thinking in language and to start thinking in pictures. As a person with autism, I naturally think in pictures and my mind can search through the visual images in my memory like an internet search engine. In my work as a designer for the livestock industry, I am able to draw a drawing and then test run the system in my imagination like a virtual reality computer system.
